What are cookies?

The De Hypotheker website uses cookies. Cookies are small, simple text files that are placed on your computer, tablet or mobile phone when you visit our website. Cookies track information about your website visit. Thanks to a cookie, you don't have to enter your details every time, for example, because cookies remember that.

What do we do with these cookies?
We study how (groups of) visitors interact with our website so that we can improve the site. In addition, some cookies ensure that certain parts of the website work properly and that your user preferences remain known. De Hypotheker also uses cookies to collect and analyse certain data about your visit to our website, such as the number of pages you visit, how long you spend on our website and how often you return. This data is used to improve the operation and user-friendliness of our website. Finally, cookies are also used for the purpose of relationship management, for example personalising e-mailings to which users have subscribed. De Hypotheker does not collect any personal information via this website other than the information you have given us yourself.

How can you disable or delete cookies?

You can delete cookies manually via your internet browser. Or have them deleted automatically when you leave the website. You can also set your internet browser to notify you when a cookie is placed. And you can also set your browser to block cookies. We would not recommend this for your own browsing convenience. In addition, you can reject many cookies individually or collectively via this website.

We also offer you the option to accept or refuse De Hypotheker's cookies via the button above. The limited choice means that only the analytical cookies are placed, with the full setting all cookies are placed to use all functionalities of the website.

Cookies can be permanent or valid for a session:

Permanent cookies

A permanent cookie allows us to recognise you when you visit the website again. This allows the website to be set specifically to your preferences. This saves you having to keep repeating your preferences, thus saving you time and making the website more user-friendly. Permanent cookies are never 100% permanent and expire after a maximum of 2 years. You can delete permanent cookies via your browser settings.

Session cookies

A session cookie allows us to see which parts of the website you have viewed during this visit. This enables us to adapt our service as much as possible to the surfing behaviour of our visitors. These cookies are automatically deleted as soon as you close your web browser.

The calculation tools we obtain from our partners may also contain session cookies. These cookies do not store any personal data and are completely anonymised. When you leave the website, the cookies are deleted by default.

In addition, the website uses Google Analytics. Cookies are placed via the website by the US company Google, as part of the "Analytics" service. We use this service to track and receive reports on how visitors use the Website. Google will only provide this information to third parties if Google is legally obliged to do so, or insofar as third parties process the information on Google's behalf. We have no influence on this.

We have not allowed Google to use the Analytics information obtained for other Google services. The information collected by Google is anonymised as much as possible. The IP address is passed on masked by omitting the last three digits. To ensure that Google treats your personal data with care, we have concluded a processor agreement with Google.
